After celebrating Christmas day with family, Jenny headed to The Loon to spend the evening relaxing with friends. She spotted Loren across the bar and persuaded a friend to walk over and tell him that she thought he was cute. The flirty gesture was enough to convince him to pick up his drink, walk over, and introduce himself. From that evening on, the pair was inseparable.
Three years later, the couple went on a ski trip to Beaver Creek with Jenny’s sister and brother-in-law. It was Jenny’s birthday so the group planned a special dinner at a hidden restaurant in the mountain called Beano’s Cabin. At dinner, as Jenny blew out the candles on her cake, she wished for Loren to ask her to marry him. Little did she know, he had the ring in his pocket at that very moment. Once the pair walked outside into the lightly falling snow, Loren got down on one knee and made Jenny’s birthday wish come true.
Jenny received her degree in broadcast journalism and studio art from Southern Methodist University and is the owner of Uptown Country Home in Snider Plaza and an artist at her namesake studio. Loren attended Texas Tech University where he studied restaurant and hotel management. He is now a financial advisor at UBS and operates his own men’s clothing company, Old Money Vintage. The couple will wed on November 17th, 2012 at Rough Creek Lodge.
