The Fit and Flare: The fit and flare is a classic bridal silhouette that is flattering on brides of all shapes and sizes. The cut includes a fitted bodice and then flares out into an a-line skirt right after your hips. Jennifer Birnbrey wore a fit and flare dress by Monique Lhuillier from Warren Barron on her big day.
Lace: Lace is a glamorous fabric that can be easily be incorporated into any ensemble – sleeves, gloves, train, or even a dramatic back! Dianne Johnson wore lace on her wedding day in both her dress and her train. Her fantastically feminine dress was by Monique Lhuillier, available at Neiman Marcus – don’t forget to check out the back!
Tulle: Spring and summer brides, rejoice! A dress embellished with tulle will give you a fresh and airy silhouette perfect for an outdoor wedding. This fabric can be used as an accent or in a full skirt, either way it provides the fairy tale wedding look. Elizabeth Bury wore a full tulle shirt on her wedding day, designed by Alberto Makali and available at Nordstroms.
Illusion Neckline: This bridal trend was recently revived by Kate Middleton’s stunning Alexander McQueen wedding dress. Illusion neckline lets you show a little skin while remaining lady-like. Elizabeth Combs’ dress, designed by Vera Wang from Neiman Marcus, featured an illusion neckline.
