Erin and Parker began spending time together during their senior year at Trinity Christian Academy. They learned that they would both be attending Texas A&M in the fall. They spent the entire summer really getting to know one another while working as camp counselors. Their first few dates didn’t blossom into romance, so they went their separate ways, but they rekindled their flame near the end of their junior year.

This couple started a fun tradition of visiting the zoo in every city they traveled to. Their first date was at the Fort Worth Zoo. On December 1 of 2012, Erin got extremely frustrated with her sister for taking a “wrong turn” on their way to the Bishop Arts District for dinner. Her frustration turned to confusion as they pulled up to the Dallas Zoo after closing time. Erin’s sister led her through exhibits where her dearest friends were waiting to read her letters that they had written to celebrate their relationship. Once they reached the elephant exhibit (Erin’s favorite animal) Parker was waiting on one knee with ring in hand. The perfect evening ended with a surprise engagement party at Erin’s parent’s home.

Erin and Parker received their degrees in English and finance from Texas A&M University. Erin is an English teacher at Dr. John D. Horn High School and Parker is an auditor at Ernst & Young. They will say their vows on August 3 at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, and then hold their reception at the Hall of State at Fair Park.
