Emily Hess & Eric Brown
Eric strolled into the Lubbock hotel Emily worked for while attending Texas Tech University and asked her if they were hiring. Their conversation quickly turned from work to all of the things they had in common and ended with plans to meet for their first date. As they drove around looking at all of the campus Christmas lights, they knew they had found something special. Five years later, Eric surprised Emily with a carriage ride through Highland Park to admire the Christmas lights just like they did on their first date. Along the way, Eric asked the driver to stop the carriage and he got down one knee to propose.
For their ceremony, they wanted to mix tradition with a bit of glam. Bella Flora used sequin linens and candlelight to make the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek glow. Cocktail napkins with interesting facts about the couple lined each food station and servers carried around baseball themed snacks at the end of the evening in honor of Eric’s career as the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at Cochise College.
The bride describes her favorite moment as her dad’s speech. He lovingly teased Eric, let the couple know he was proud of them, and then raised a glass to toast their love.
