India-born, American designer Naeem Khan has dressed celebs with his red-carpet worthy gowns since he showed his eponymous line at fashion week in 2005. (He’s even dressed the first lady for an Oscars cameo). His debut bridal collection has been much-anticipated, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was so impressive/gorgeous/innovative, that the buyers at Neiman Marcus picked up a large majority of the line.
The collection has a worldly vibe, paired with the rich fabrics, intricate beading, and attention to detail Khan’s ready-to-wear collections exhibit. The silhouettes range from Grecian goddess to traditional and form fitting.
Khan played with different necklines, showing off his breadth. Strapless, corset, illusion, sleeves–all the major trends are incorporated in the collection.
