Taylor Watts and Tyler LeBaron
Tyler and Taylor met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Tyler sat down next to Taylor, but she continued to pretend to look at her phone. Persistence paid off. As he tried to strike up conversation and she continued to try to ignore him, they eventually started to connect. They hung out a few times and quickly fell in love. Tyler proposed to Taylor in the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum.
When it was time to plan their dream wedding, they returned to the place where they were engaged. It also happened to be one of their favorite spots in Dallas. When they chose the Garden Room at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel for the reception, they decided on lush arrangements that continued the garden theme. “I just wanted to create a whimsical, magical atmosphere. So we had tons of twinkly votive candles and ‘fresh picked’ bouquets,” Taylor says.
When she looks back at one of her favorite moments of their wedding day on May 18, 2014, she talks fondly about a locket that was given to her by her best friend. Inside was a picture of her nanny who passed away when she was a teenager. “I have so many wonderful memories with her. I held the locket walking down the aisle because it gave me a small sense of peace that she was with me,” she says. In her honor, The Gospel of Light Choir sang “Oh Happy Day” at the end of the ceremony.
