Candi Crawford & Luke Brandenberg
When Candi and Luke first met at a cancer benefit pre-party at Luke’s apartment, Candi devised a plan to see him again. She strategically left an item at Luke’s apartment and when he called to return it, she suggested drinks. Luke caught on and drinks turned into a long, romantic dinner. That night was the beginning of their fairy tale love story. A little over a year later, Luke asked Candi to be his wife in a castle in Carcassonne, France.
The couple chose a “rustic elegant affair” aesthetic for their nuptials on Saturday, March 5, 2016. “The pink linens—my favorite color—were accented with white tulle and created a formal yet comfortable atmosphere in an exposed wood venue,” explains the bride. She mixed natural elements such as antlers and rustic chairs with lush floral arrangements and pops of pink.
When Candi looks back on her wedding day, two of her favorite moments involve dancing. “When my husband proposed, I had an 89-year-old grandfather that was largely wheelchair-bound and a future 2.5-year-old ‘miracle’ niece that defied doctor’s expectations when she unexpectedly born at 26 weeks. However, she had not yet learned to walk due to her cerebral palsy. I was overjoyed to dance with both my grandfather and my niece who walked under their own power,” says Candi.
