Taylor Estes & Carson Foster

Taylor and Carson’s paths crossed by chance in fall 2011 when both were in Baltimore for business. Though they hit it off right away, the two were wary of starting up a long-distance romance—Carson lived in Cleveland, and Taylor in Dallas. A few short months later, Carson flew to Dallas to surprise Taylor and take her on their first date. Exactly a year later, the couple took the plunge and Carson moved to Dallas to make their relationship a priority.

Taylor and Carson each work in health-related industries, and their similarities don’t stop there. Both are enamored with reading, travel, and old-world style. Their December 2015 wedding incorporated rich tones, wood, brass, and old maps and books, and Taylor calls the final product “a lovely mix of romance and history.”

The couple deeply values family, and she says one of the most moving parts of her big day was the ways in which her late father was honored. She had feared the sadness his absence would bring, but, she says, “he was with us the whole time, especially when my mom gave me away and when his best friends danced with me in his place.”
