For most people, a trip to the car dealership is rarely a walk in the park, but for Jamie and Andy, it was kismet. Jamie had just moved to Dallas from Tampa when she took her car to the Sewell Cadillac for a check up. While she waited for assistance, she decided to call her mom. Her mom was in the middle of telling Jamie that she’d meet a “nice Texas boy” in due time when Andy strolled over and informed her that he would be her service advisor. Over the next couple of months and appointments, the two got to know each other and although the chemistry was there, the timing was off.
Two and a half years later, life gave them a second chance. While enjoying a night out at The Rustic, Jamie ran into his roommate and friends, who decided to take their love story into their own hands and messaged her the next day to set the two up. After receiving her friends’ encouragement and mulling it over for a couple of days, Jamie and Andy reconnected. And the rest was history.
In light of their friendship’s involvement in sparking their relationship, Andy decided to include them in their engagement during a Friendsgiving celebration. Armed with a ring he designed himself, Andy got down on one knee, and asked Jamie to spend the rest of her life with him in front of their friends and family.
Jamie attended the University of South Florida where she studied business management. She received her master’s degree in marketing from the University of Tampa, and she currently works as a territory manager at ACell. Andy studied political science at Austin College and currently works as a private wealth advisor at AXA Advisors. They will marry on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Ritz-Carlton in Lake Tahoe following an intimate ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Richardson.
