An Assyrian-Lebanese Wedding Full of Personal Touches

Sargon Daniel had dropped hints about a fancy gift for Rachael Larson for months leading up to their Santa Barbara vacation. So when she opened a beautiful yet relatively standard wallet, she was confused—until he told her to open the coin pocket. “He asked for the ring so he could actually ask me to marry him,” she says. Their July 1, 2017 wedding—planned by Julian Leaver Events—was full of personal touches, like Rachael’s mother’s pearls, a birthday cake for Sargon’s 94-year-old grandmother in place of a groom’s cake, and nods to the couple’s Assyrian and Lebanese heritages.
