The Statler is an iconic hotel of mid-20th century design located in Downtown Dallas. When it originally opened in 1956, The Statler was the first major hotel built in Dallas in nearly three decades and the largest hospitality facility in the Southwestern United States. Quickly, The Statler became a destination for the elite and attracted many big acts and celebrities such as The Jackson 5, Liberace, Tony Bennett, Bob Hope, and Lucy & Desi Arnaz. It is also famous as the place where Tina Turner left her husband, Ike Turner, the evening they were scheduled to perform at The Statler’s Grand Ballroom.
The Statler’s retro-forward style symbolizes a homage to past glory while boldly directing the future of Dallas urban life. The Statler boasts approachable luxury—the spirited lifestyle guests crave—that inspires confidence and balances tradition with innovation. From the valet arrival to one of the most talked about dining and entertainment venues in Dallas, The Statler’s extraordinary service will prove our history of going above and beyond for our guests.
Pleasing our guests with the most discerning palates, The Statler features six restaurants and bars including a secret speakeasy, an interactive sports bar with vintage bowling and billiards, an award-winning rooftop pool and lounge, and the second outpost of a Dallas Tex-Mex favorite featuring private dining options. As one of the newest properties in downtown Dallas, we are exceptionally one-of-a-kind, and The Statler looks forward to welcoming you.
Emblematic architecture and timeless glamour make The Statler the most fascinating retro-chic destination in Downtown Dallas. Our venue is the perfect place for brides looking for a modern-vintage venue. The historical aspects that are unique to The Statler alone bring our Grand Ballroom to life in a new, modern setting.
