Introducing the D Weddings ABCs of Etiquette: Sure, you can flip through Emily Post’s bible of good manners, but what do Dallas brides, planners, and guests expect when it comes to local wedding etiquette? Dallas wedding experts tell us how to graciously navigate every wedding-day situation.
Wedding bags are usually the last thing you check off your list before walking down the aisle. But even if you are putting them together in a hurry, you can still be thoughtful. They are the first taste of the wedding weekend, after all. Jordan Payne of The Welcome Bag Committee recommends filling these gestures of thanks with items that reflect the theme of the wedding or the couple’s favorite edibles—cups, flip flops, napkins, and towels are all fair game. “We always recommend a salty, a sweet, a fun product like a candle or blanket, a bath and body product, and a beverage,” she says. Deliver bags to the hotel a few days prior to arrival—you can have them handed out at check-in or delivered to rooms.
