Grace Loves Lace, the Australian bridal brand, is making its way to Dallas and is set to open a permanent showroom in the Design District on April 9. This will only be the fifth showroom in the world for the brand, which is known for its comfortable garments and creating the “world’s most pinned wedding dress.”
“We want the brides of Texas to know they shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for comfort,” says Megan Ziems, founder of Grace Loves Lace. “We refuse to hold women back with rigid, restrictive elements like corsets, boning, and heavy fabrics.”
Although there are already storefronts in New York, Los Angeles, London, and the Gold Coast, Grace Loves Lace primarily functions as an e-commerce platform. But after opening its first two showrooms in the United States, Grace Loves Lace received a high number of inquiries from curious American brides, many of which were coming from Texas, prompting the brand to launch a Dallas store.
Grace Loves Lace has announced plans to partner with other local vendors, such as local florists, photographers, and event planners. And the physical store will be a reflection of the brand and location: Australian style with Texas touches.
“Everything in the showroom is pretty much imported from Australia, from the decorator that [we] are using, to the flowers [we] are using, to the champagne, to the tea,” says Kate Bedrick, publicist for Grace Loves Lace. “So, you’re really stepping into something different while all the while making sure that Texas is still represented.”
Through this showroom, Grace Loves Lace hopes to help brides create memorable experiences that go beyond the dress. “It will be a place that girls can not only find their wedding dress but also bridesmaids dresses, accessories, and really just come to have fun and shop,” Bedrick says. “People get so stressed out about finding the perfect dress, and the team is really trying to find a way to alleviate that stress and bring the fun back.”
