Dallas natives Carolyn Roshek and David Schultz met at Texas A&M through a mutual friend, and their careers took the college sweethearts home to Big D after graduation. When planning their May 19, 2012, nuptials, Carolyn knew she wanted every detail to be original and reflect the couple’s fun-loving personalities. The Chihuly exhibit artistically enhanced the wedding ceremony in the Woman’s Garden at the Dallas Arboretum, and their reception in the park’s DeGolyer Mansion featured hot pink peonies and orchids and hundreds of twinkling lights. Incorporating the couple’s beloved white labs, Milan and Parris, into the wedding was a priority from the start—the dogs served as flower girls and accompanied Carolyn’s two best friends down the aisle.
