Wedding Venues
When you’ve spent many months planning the best day of your life, it’s no wonder you wouldn’t want the night to end when the clock strikes 10 p.m. “It’s so hard to limit a celebration to just four to five hours,” says Molly Rasmussen of Pop Parties. That’s why a growing number of couples—including Allie Baron and Chris Burton, pictured here—are choosing to host after-parties following their formal receptions. “We knew it was going to be such a special weekend and wanted to make it last as long as we could,” explains Allie. In addition to prolonging the celebration, an after-party helps shift the energy of an event and allows couples to showcase their personalities through theming and decor that may not be black-tie ready. Get inspired by two vastly different after-parties that ended the same way: with an unforgettable time had by all.
Having met on 6th Street while attending the University of Texas, Allie Baron and Chris Burton wanted to pay homage to a few of their favorite college hangouts after their April 5, 2025, at-home wedding and reception. The idea evolved into Club Burton—an immersive late-night experience hosted in the Barons’ underground garage.

Lights Fantastic:
Planner and designer Caroline Fair of Caroline Events transformed the neutral garage into a nightclub, complete with a light show. “We draped the perimeter in midnight blue and layered color washes, lasers, hazers, and an LED dance floor to transform the space,” she explains.
Wedding planner and designer Caroline Fair of Caroline Events oversaw the transformation of the Barons’ garage into a nightclub—complete with flooring, staging, and sound. “Lighting was everything,” says Caroline, who selected mirrored and metallic furniture that would allow the lasers, hazers, and color washes to bounce off them. Of course, no after-party would be complete without beats and treats to keep the energy high, so DJ Souljah spun tunes that ensured the LED dance floor stayed packed, while bites were passed to satisfy any late-night cravings. And the theme wouldn’t have been complete without a playful tribute to Allie and Chris’ time as undergrads. “We couldn’t resist including a shot ski as a nod to their college days at Burnside’s Tavern and Maggie Mae’s,” Caroline says.

A Night to Remember:
“We really wanted a fun club-like vibe—something completely different than the rest of our wedding and reception,” says Allie.“Caroline did such an amazing job helping design it all and bring our ideas to life!”
The subterranean space was ideal for maintaining the element of surprise for guests. “It was so fun to look back at photos of everyone’s faces when they first walked in,” says Allie. “It was seriously the best ending to the night.”
