How Inviting: Aidan and Timot are avid outdoors enthusiasts. “We spent the majority of our honeymoon hiking in Norway,” she says. So it was only natural for their wedding to incorporate their love of the outdoors, beginning with their floral-emblazoned invitations.

The Look of Love: Reflecting on their wedding day, Aidan says, ”It was like a dream. Having all of the people you love and cherish together like that is such a special experience. We’re so grateful for Ryan’s excellent photography that lets us relive the day as many times as we want!”

Wild Child: “I wanted the bouquet to have a sort of wild quality to it—not too manicured, almost like I could have just collected a handful of flowers from the garden,” says Aidan.

In Bloom: Strong winds on the day of the wedding necessitated some last-minute pivots, but planner Sharon Frazier and florist Taylor Doyle pulled off this blooming seating chart that had table assignments mounted on velvet boxes.

Brick House: The Filter Building’s industrial feel needed some softening to achieve the aesthetic the couple was after. Sharon achieved that with ample candlelight, soft gray and blue accents, and plenty of greenery.

Growing Up: Sharon came up with a “growing greenery” theme that carried through all design elements, including the painted cake, which was accented with live blooms sprouting out.

Aidan Strother & Timot Kellermayer
April 29, 2023
Houston-raised Timot Kellermayer met Aidan Strother, a Seattle native, in Dallas during their first month of medical school. Their love blossomed on the shores of White Rock Lake, where they’d meet for walks during the COVID-19 pandemic. After two-and-a-half years of dating, the outdoorsy pair ventured to Maui, where, against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset, Timot dropped to his knee at the end of a volcanic hike. When it came to choosing a wedding venue, the couple returned to where it all began, hosting a reception at The Filter Building, which overlooks White Rock Lake. “It was really special to that have spot in the city,” says Aidan. “This is our spot. This is where we got to know each other, where we fell in love.”
After the ceremony, a pair of “beer burros” greeted guests. “They were a big hit at the cocktail hour!” Aiden remembers.
Planner Sharon Frazier incorporated subtle color to achieve the neutral but feminine feel Aidan desired. The robin-egg-blue chargers “were the perfect punch of color,” Sharon says, while gold flatware “warmed things up.”
