After his first date with Allison McCarty, Allen Fu woke up thinking, “I could marry this woman.” Eighteen months later, he made an impromptu, mountainside proposal in Utah. “In the absence of a ring, I produced a sparkling green pipe cleaner and wrapped it tightly around her finger,” says Allen. They married on April 15, 2017, this time with proper rings to exchange. The bride accented the modern venue with pops of lilac in the florals and bridesmaids’ dresses. A saxophone player made a soulful addition to the reception.
