The Couple

Amanda and Christian’s love was meant to be. The two met through mutual friends during their sophomore year of college at Texas Tech, and although the chemistry was instant, their relationship remained platonic. Fast forward to their junior and senior year and fortune made them neighbors in the same apartment complex, where they became good friends. Just months after graduation, Amanda found a job in Dallas. She was driving on the highway one morning on her way to work, when she and Christian spotted each other. They rekindled their friendship, this time taking it a step further and began dating. They’ve been inseparable since.

Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and her masters in education from Texas Tech University. She currently works at Region 10 Educational Service Center. Christian received his bachelor’s degree in business economics from Texas Tech University and his masters in finance from the University of Dallas.

The Proposal

Their romance swept them off their feet, so it was fitting that their engagement was full of surprises. The first began with a birthday trip to New York City. Amanda thought she was in for a cozy getaway at their usual hotel until they arrived at the Ritz-Carlton. Under the guise that the couple would be meeting friends for lunch at Central Park, they left quickly before Amanda could question the reason behind the special new arrangements. Following a carriage ride to the park, they were walking through Sheep Meadow when Christian got down on one knee. He told Amanda how he couldn’t imagine spending the rest of his life without his best friend, and asked her to marry him. Needless to say, she said yes. Amanda couldn’t wait to call her family with the news, but Christian had just a little more magic up his sleeve. Amanda’s parents and her sister had flown in and were waiting nearby to celebrate the happy couple’s special day.

The Wedding

The two will marry on June 17, 2017, at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas.
