The Couple
Jasmine and Andrew met on the first day of law school. They exchanged niceties, but it wasn’t until their second semester that Andrew revealed he was crushing on the DFW native. All it took was a text about Jasmine’s stunning hair to get the two talking and after that, their romance blossomed.
Andrew received his undergraduate degree and masters from the University of Tulsa. He is currently studying to get his masters in finance from Harvard and his juris doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.r Jasmine received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and is also currently studying to receive her juris doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Andrew works at Morgan Stanley and Jasmine works for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s office.
The Proposal
A year later, Andrew set up a series of small surprises for the proposal. Under the impression that he would be busy all day with school, Jasmine followed suit and holed herself up in her room to study. However as mid-day boredom encroached, there was a knock on her door. She didn’t get to see the messenger, but she found a loving note from Andrew’s parents pinned to her door. Over the next half hour, she received more knocks and more letters from her parents and members of both their families, until finally, she found a letter from Andrew. In the letter, he told Jasmine how much he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
Next, he had a friend drive her to the location of their first date: a lakeside lighthouse. When she arrived and saw him standing there, she was overcome with love and joy, hardly able to process what was happening. Through all the excitement, she did hear him ask for her hand in marriage. Once she said yes, her entire family and their closest friends popped out from behind the lighthouse, ready to celebrate with the newly engaged couple. It was the happiest day of Jasmine’s life.
The Wedding
The two will marry on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas.
