Hannah Novelli and Andy Dolliver
September 19, 2020
Hannah Novelli didn’t expect to fall for Andy Dolliver. The couple went on their first date while working together at a summer camp—but it wasn’t until they found themselves teaching English together in China that Hannah began to think, “I could really marry this guy.” Her expectations were again shattered when, as a result of COVID-19, her large wedding at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas quickly became an intimate affair at her family lake house in Okoboji, Iowa—a place where she’d always wanted to marry but initially decided against so as to not make hundreds of Dallas-based guests travel. With all the last-minute changes, Hannah felt plenty of uncertainty about how everything would go—everything, that is, except the commitment she was making. “Getting married to Andy was the thing I felt so sure about,” she remembers. In the end, Hannah says having her wedding at her family’s lake home, where she’d already made so many memories, “was truly so much better than anything I could have imagined.”
