Kate Maher and Michael Schneider’s Whimsical Garden Wedding at the Dallas Arboretum

Busy careers and schedules led Kate Maher and Michael Schneider to a matchmaking service—and the matchmakers nailed it. After a balcony proposal in Puerto Rico, they wed at the Dallas Arboretum’s A Woman’s Garden on September 16, 2016. The nature-inspired decor featured water and greenery accents, such as floating flowers in clear vases. A Calvin and Hobbes comic book—a favorite of the couple—served as a guest book and added a touch of whimsy, and it now has a place in their home. “We set it out as a coffee-table book,” Kate says.
