What to Eat on the Morning of Your Wedding

Leslie Needleman, certified health counselor and owner at organic juice bar The Gem, recommends cleaning up your diet two weeks before your wedding day (or up to three months before for the ultimate glow): Cut out refined sugars and processed foods, add an extra green at each meal, and minimize gluten and dairy. On your wedding day, Needleman suggests the following menu:

  • Start the day with at least 32 ounces of water with lemon to detoxify, get the body “moving,” and hydrate.
  • Try a smoothie for breakfast with cashew milk and coconut butter loaded with healthy fats, greens to curb cravings, maca to fight anxiety, and collagen for glowing skin.
  • For lunch, have quinoa with mushrooms and arugula. This meal is loaded with protein and fiber to keep blood sugar level.
  • Have snacks on hand for the nervous munchies, like hummus and crackers or The Gem’s Green Glow juice, which is great for energy and brighter eyes.
