Up at the crack of dawn to catch a 6am flight to San Francisco to style a wedding for @amynicholsse in Sonoma this weekend with @aarondelesie . I don’t do well with waking up to an alarm. And, Im off caffeine, so it’s going to be a long day. Styling is so much more than flat lays and hanging the dress in a pretty spot for the photographer. Styling also means making sure all of the reception details are on point. Straight chairs, glassware, flatware, and chargers, making sure the napkins, menus, and place cards are perfectly placed, ensuring the place settings are set correctly (the knife faces the charger, yall), that salt and pepper shakers, trash cans, and bussing stations don’t make it into a shot – I could go on. Even if you have an amazing photographer onboard, there is just not enough time for them to do all the things.
