The world of diamonds and gemstones can be daunting—even if you have had a Pinterest board since middle school with all the ring designs. To aide in that process, D Weddings is partnering with Eiseman Jewels to guide Macy and Ethan as they navigate selecting their custom wedding rings. Eiseman—a Dallas family–owned jeweler and one of the original tenants of NorthPark Center—will be celebrating 60 years of service this fall and is a purveyor of a coveted designer collection including GIA-certified diamonds. Cristina Salas, one of the many experts at Eiseman, dishes on their appointment with Macy and Ethan, current wedding band trends, the custom-ring timeline, and more.
Tell us about the decision for Eiseman Jewels to be a part of the Dream Day Giveaway!
We have served the Dallas community for years and have worked with generations of brides and grooms as they plan their dream day; it’s our specialty! We are thrilled to partner with D Weddings, and we’re excited to work with Macy and Ethan as they select wedding bands and create special memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.
What were Macy and Ethan’s visions for their rings?
Macy and Ethan came in with ideas of what they were looking for but were also very open to the suggestions of our experts. Macy was looking for a band to complement her beautiful engagement ring; Ethan was looking for a wider band with texture. After creating a collaborative and personal shopping experience for the couple, we were able to help them make the best selections to suit their style.
What trends are you currently seeing in wedding bands?
Eternity bands, mixed shapes with lots of bezel settings, and stacked bands with mixed sizes are definitely trends we are seeing right now. We love it!
What are the most important factors to consider when selecting stones and materials?
When selecting stones and materials for your dream wedding band, we suggest considering the following: longevity, classic design, wearability and durability, and if the selection will match your lifestyle.
Do you offer customizations to personalize rings to a bride or groom’s tastes?
When it comes to personalizing a client’s ring, the sky is truly the limit. Everyone wants something just a little different to make it special to them, and we are able to work with each client to create something unique and meaningful.
What are the current top customizations?
Current trends in customizations we are seeing include custom engraving or enameling on the inside with initials, dates, or personal inscriptions. We also love a little colored stone or diamond hidden on the inside of the ring that holds special meaning for the couple. We can accommodate almost any request for personalizing a client’s dream ring, and we pride ourselves in providing professional, consultative guidance on how to carry it out to perfection.
Can you share more about what the custom ring process looks like?
The first step is to meet with one of our sales professionals to discuss the style, stones, and ideas for a custom design. The designers at Eiseman will then develop a rendering of the custom piece, working with the client on any edits to better understand their vision.
This is a completely collaborative process, and we welcome client feedback as we progress to ensure the final design is perfect. Once the final design is approved, our craftsmen create the piece, and the custom-designed piece of jewelry is ready to be worn and enjoyed for years to come!
What is the timeline on a custom ring?
For the entire custom-design process, clients can typically expect between eight to twelve weeks, depending on the design and amount of customizations.
