Stardust Celebrations Wedding Spotlight
Sarah Staley and Josh Smith’s story started back in junior high school. Who knew after high school, college and first jobs they’d finally tie the knot! And, oh what a wedding weekend it turned out to be. Sarah and her 14 bridesmaids and Josh with his 14 groomsmen checked into the classic Adolphus Hotel on Friday afternoon. The fun began with a FIESTA – complete with a margarita bar, a pinata, Picado flag streamers, and Mexico inspired bright flowers.
Wedding day morning, Josh and the guys played pool while the women were pampered getting their hair and makeup done! Photos began with a first look with the bridesmaids, followed by Sarah and her dad, and then Josh and Sarah had a private photo session all over the gorgeous Adolphus. Sarah was dressed in a beautiful silk Robert Bullock gown adorned with her grandmother’s pearl broach and opera-length gloves.
From the first design moment, Sarah wanted a black-and-white checkered dance floor with oodles of white flowers and lush greenery. The tables were decked out with gold tableware, glass chargers with gold rims, classic white table linens, and black linen personalized menus setting the tone for a classic, elegant celebration. One of Sarah’s favorite experiences was having guests leave a personalized message on a classic 1950s Princess phone!
Sarah’s dad had recently been injured in an accident, but that did not keep him from walking down the aisle with his daughter. Family and friends dined, danced, and mingled ‘til the wee hours of the morning, followed by a surprise send off with hand-made snow!
The A-list vendor team included Ice House Band, The Adolphus Hotel, Branching Out Floral, Braden Harris Photography, Brite Beauty, and Weddings by Stardust.
