Easy Being Green: The couple opted for a simple suite that featured nods to the nature-heavy venue, including green lettering, a floral motif envelope liner, and a pair of lovebirds.

Petal Power: Florist Kate McLeod looked to Julie’s floral-patterned gown when designing arrangements for the affair. “The dress was definitely an inspiration when choosing our florals,” she says. “The style of blooms, the free-flowing design, as well as the color throughout.”

True to Tradition: Florist Kate McLeod’s favorite piece to put together for Julie and David’s wedding was the chuppah. “It was so much fun to bring that to life with floral,” she says.

The Great Outdoors: The couple leaned into the natural feel of the venue, incorporating organic elements at every turn. “You don’t have to do very much to dress up the space—it’s already beautiful the way it is,” says Kate.

Julie Judson & David Galstyan
May 28, 2023
After matching on JSwipe (“Tinder for Jews,” Julie laughs) and hitting it off, Julie Judson and David Galstyan decided to meet up that very day. “We’ve been inseparable ever since,” Julie says. “We met on her doorstep,” David recalls, “only to find out later that the previous homeowner met his wife on that doorstep seven years prior.” Eighteen months later, David closed the loop by proposing to Julie in their home, and the two began planning a weekend-long wedding extravaganza. Their goal was not just to celebrate their love but to integrate their communities and create lifelong relationships between their friends and family members. “We have friends that met at the wedding that still hang out with each other,” David says. “It’s pretty special.” —Ellen Daly
Julie’s flowing, flower-emblazoned Monique Lhuillier “Jardin” gown set the tone for the evening, with David’s deep green suit serving as a perfect complement.
