This Wedding was Even Bigger and Better than the Bride’s Wildest Dreams

Stephanie Epshteyn & Sam Glazer
March 2, 2024

Stephanie Epshteyn swiped right on Sam Glazer while browsing Bumble. “We hit it off on our first date,” she says. The Covid shutdown led to a low-key start to their relationship. “We spent a lot of time making banana bread!” she laughs. Sam proposed three years later at the Dallas Arboretum, and the very next day, his mother, Marion, took Stephanie to Arlington Hall, which they booked on the spot. The bride was grateful to Marion, whom Stephanie credits with having “impeccable taste,” for stepping in in lieu of her own mother, who passed in 2017. “As soon as I met her, I wanted to be just like her, and we planned it together,” Stephanie says of her now mother-in-law. “All my dreams looked like pip-squeaks compared to what it turned out to be.”

Six Tiers of Sugar
Fancy Cakes by Lauren created a sculptural white cake laced with sugar ribbons.

International Appeal
The design team took inspiration from Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the French Riviera and from Stephanie’s roots in the Republic of Georgia. “The goal was to try and infuse a little Mediterranean sensibility into Arlington Hall and the surrounding gardens,” says Leah Spillman of Jackson Durham.

Be Our Guest
Stephanie worked with Ellis Hill to create a custom champagne-hued ceremony invitation. “We wanted something clean and classic and elegant,” she says.
