The Couple

In typical Texan fashion, Kallan and Alexus are high school sweethearts: they met at Nolan Catholic high school their freshman year. They went on to attend the University of Oregon together, where they both recently graduated in the top 10% of their class. Kallan, an Arlington native, graduated with a degree in business, and he is now working for Synchrony Financial as a credit track member. Alexus, a Dallas native, studied political science and philosophy. She is now prepping for her law school entrance exam. The couple enjoys traveling and have covered 19 states and three countries together. They currently reside in Atlanta, but hope to have their wedding back home in Dallas.

The Proposal

Ever since prom their junior year of high school, the couple has been inseparable. They had been dating for five years when Kallan proposed marriage in the same way he had asked Alexus to prom. There was a path of candles strewn with roses around a courtyard and Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” playing softly in the background. What Alexus had thought was a wine tasting at a winery they were considering for a graduation party was actually her very own fairytale proposal. In this romantic setting surrounded by beautiful Oregon trees, Kallan popped the question. Following a sweet moment of tears and laughter, three of Alexus’ best girlfriends popped out from hiding. While they had been helping Kallan plan this very moment for weeks, it had been years in the making.

The Wedding

The couple will wed in the spring of 2019.
