Alexandra Wales met Thomas Wahl through the kickball team she never joined and at the kickball games she never played in. They will be married on November 11, 2017.
Four years ago, Thomas started a kickball team and Alexandra’s friend convinced her to join. In the end, Alexandra never showed up for a game. But the future couple were finally brought together by a gathering between said kickball team and mutual friends.
As friends, they spent time together on birthday trips, New Year’s Eves and at crawfish boils. Thomas finally asked Alexandra out on an official date in January of 2016. They spent their first date eating dinner together at FT33. Soon, dinners turned into traveling the world together. Somewhere between that first kickball game and the many dates that followed the first, Alexandra and Thomas fell in love.
On Easter Sunday of this year, Thomas dropped to one knee during “family photos” and proposed to Alexandra. The photos of that day are of a stunned Alexandra covering her mouth in surprise and a smiling Thomas holding a ring.
In Rosemary Beach, Florida, the couple will stand hand and hand as they tie the knot. With November fast approaching, wedding bells are not far away!
Dallas native Alexandra went to school at the University of Georgia for psychology and pre-law. After returning home to Dallas, Alexandra went to SMU Dedman School of Law. Thomas, who grew up fishing and surfing on the coasts of Florida, went to Vanderbilt for engineering science and economics. Thomas received an MPA in financial assurance and reporting from UT Austin.
Currently, Alexandra practices probate and estate legislation at Spencer Law and Thomas is a senior manager at KPMG’s alternative investments audit practice.
