Valentine’s weekend 2009 was a fateful one for Erica Smith and Eric Denton, who met through friends at a concert. She’d just moved back to Dallas from California; he was living in Austin at the time. Four years later, they were married on March 23, 2013, in a heartfelt ceremony at the Dallas Arboretum. The weather was iffy all day, but just as Erica walked down the aisle, the sun broke through, and the evening remained clear just until the bride and groom made their getaway.
