Kate McNeff’s parents met on a blind date. So when Kate was set up on a blind date by a friend, she thought, Hmm, wouldn’t it be something if I met my husband this way? And that something? It was love. After dating for a year and a half, Kate and John Heyde were engaged on the first day of a two-week European vacation. When they returned home, the couple began planning a big party as a thank-you to family and friends, and on May 11, 2013, at the Dallas Arboretum, they said “I do” in front of 100 special guests.
