The Couple
Taylor Mitchell and Peyton Heath love University of Alabama football. This led to an immediate connection at a mutual friend’s home. Their instant rapport led them from their friend’s house to a local bar to watch an Alabama football game. One month later, they began dating. Taylor grew up in Highland Village, Texas, and majored in finance at Lamar University. She works for Atmos Energy as a financial analyst. Peyton was born in Dallas but grew up in South Africa and Australia; he returned home for college and ended up at the University of Alabama, where he majored in finance and economics and joined Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. After years of working in consulting, Peyton partnered up with his father to found a skincare and cosmetic company, TruAura.
The Proposal
After a year of dating, Peyton planned a proposal disguised as a vacation at his grandparents’ home in Palm Springs. One night, Peyton treated Taylor to dinner at Toscana Country Club. As they walked to the restaurant, Peyton stopped at location that possessed a gorgeous view of the mountains. There he descended to one knee. He followed the proposal with a romantic dinner in the private wine cellar of the club with both of their families present.
The Wedding
Taylor and Peyton will be married on May 13, 2019, at the DeGolyer Estate at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. They were drawn to the location because they desire to have an outdoor wedding with a “South of France” ambiance.
