The Weekly Love List: Favorite Gift From Being in a Bridal Party

From time to time, we ask the D Weddings editors to share their current crushes—from skincare regimens, honeymoon destinations, or registry must-haves. Consider “The Weekly Love List” your D Weddings editor-approved wish list for before, during, and after wedding day.

This week, we asked our editors for their favorite gift they’ve received from being in a bridal party.

The one I use most often is a personalized umbrella with my monogram embroidered on it! It’s so practical—I love getting gifts you wouldn’t ever buy for yourself!

—Jessica Otte, executive editor

I have a solid collection of monogrammed goods from being in weddings—literally from scarves to cheese boards—but by far the most unique present I’ve ever received were green toile scented drawer liners that my best friend purchased from a boutique in Charleston while shopping for her mom’s gown. I have had them in my drawers for years, and they still make me think of that special day!

—Sarah Bennett, managing editor

Our bride gave each bridesmaid a teacup. Each one was unique and came with its own little letter about what the friendship meant to her.

—Caitlin Clark, online managing editor

Although I’ve never been a bridesmaid, I read at my cousin’s wedding and he and his wife gave me a gold, monogram, chain bracelet. It’s delicate and meaningful, and I love that it’s personalized without being too in-your-face.

—Meghan Lally, assistant editor
