We’re Doing the Boot Scootin’ Boogie Over These Bridal Kicks for National Boot Day

Boot-wearing brides are nothing new in DFW, but we wanted to celebrate National Boot Day, April 13th, with a few of our favorites. From a true cowgirl rocking personalized kicks, to a pair of sparkly Jimmy Choos for an elegant Arlington Hall affair, you can find inspiration to rock boots of all shapes and sizes.

For Lauren Mish and Ryan Trimble’s big day at White Rock Lake, they both decided to wear boots—each pair perfectly matched to their respective owners wedding day ensemble. Isabel Miller had a custom pair of boots made for her groom, Eric Pryzant, who wears boots everywhere from “football games to black-tie events.”

Naomi Bowen chose to don white Miron Crosby boots—personalized with her new initials and wedding date—for her ceremony. Both Naomi and groom Michael Weissman changed into Air Force 1s for the reception. Tall, tomboy bride Alexis McDonald isn’t much of heel-wearer, and she didn’t want to change that on her wedding day. Thankfully, Alexis’ mom came through with a pair of glittery Golden Goose boots from Neiman Marcus.

Katie Lemon loves boots and wears them year-round. So, it was only natural that she donned sparkly Jimmy Choos on her and Will Decker’s big day. Cara Martin was on a shopping trip with her mom when she fell in love with a pair of furry Chanel boots, but she didn’t purchase them. She called the shop back later, but the boots had already been sold…to her mom! Cara’s mom surprised her with them at her first dress fitting appointment.

It only made sense for cowboy Todd Quirk and cowgirl Elizabeth Brumbaugh—who met on a ranch—to wear boots on their big day. Elizabeth’s featured an image of the couple, and the groom’s pair were made to look like tuxedos, perfect for the special day.
